Ulla Molin is a prominent figure in Swedish garden art. As an editor, she spread her ideas about architecture, interior design and gardening. She also worked for several decades as a garden architect.
Some of Ulla Molin's garden ideas were to blur the boundaries between outside and inside, work architecturally with few plants in large groups and provide room for the birds with a large bird bath. She often used shaped evergreens and opted out of the lawn to instead create a web of plants in a soft color scheme. This was realized, among other things, in her last garden in Höganäs in northwestern Scania. Today, the garden is considered a masterpiece; it was declared a building monument in 2010 and is today an excursion destination for many garden enthusiasts. In the book Ulla Molin: The art of creating the timeless garden, her entire life and work and the gardens she has drawn are described. You also meet garden profiles and friends, such as Heidi Palmgren and Ulf Nordfjell, who were inspired by her unique style. The book contains, among other things, newly taken pictures, drawings and illustrations: everything to inspire readers to create gardens in the spirit of Ulla Molin!
