The National Association BirdLife Sweden has played a crucial role in forest bird conservation through a series of initiatives and activities aimed at preserving and enhancing habitats for birds and other biodiversity. In 2023, an additional expert in bird conservation work with a focus on forests was employed.
Therefore, we now request your assistance. Government grants for non-profit nature conservation have significantly decreased, making it difficult for us to continue our important efforts. Therefore, we need support from the public. The effort for the forest is extensive, and to maintain the same pace, resources for the work are crucial.
Your contribution will:
- Strengthen the protection of old-growth forests and forests near the mountains – areas rich in indicator species and natural values.
- Intensify our important work in conserving and restoring both forests and wetlands.
- Actively participate in consultations and dialogue with authorities, forestry companies, and other stakeholders to make forest management more sustainable and bird-friendly.
Thank you very much!
