For those who want to be captivated by our Swedish nature, Längtan's landscape is an experience book to be enchanted by.
It is a book about what awaits those who venture out into nature, allow themselves to be seduced by the grandeur of the landscape and be infected by the joy of nature in the world of animals and plants. Längtan's landscape inspires nature experiences in our elongated country. Led by nature and landscape photographer Torbjörn Skogedal, the reader is taken in text and images on excursions from Torne träsk in the north to Falsterbo in the south, to both small and large paradises. You don't need multi-day expeditions in pathless country to experience what the book conveys. Short walks are usually enough. The only thing that is a bit inconvenient is that, to get the best out of it, you sometimes have to be there early. In some cases already before sunrise. It's a little troublesome. Hopefully, a moment in the reading chair, with this book as company, can also provide a journey in the landscape of longing. Welcome in! from the book's preface.
Torbjörn Skogedal is educated at the University of Gothenburg in biology, chemistry, natural geography and cultural geography and has been a full-time professional photographer for many years. His pictures are spread all over the world, mainly in Sweden, Europe, North America and Asia. At Votum Förlag, Torbjörn has previously published Hornborgasjön - Lockelsens landscape (2018) and Vid rinnande vatten (2020).
