With fluorite crystal lenses, and the new focus mechanism, it really takes the battle with the competitors flagships. In the new generation, the coating has been refined to give an image as color-neutral and bright as possible. The scope is gas-filled and waterproof down to 4 meters below the surface and has a rotating tripod collar for the valuable tilt-function, to provide alternate viewing orientations. The LotuTech coating of Zeiss efficiently repels dirt and water and makes the optics much easier to keep clean.
