Compact, simple field guide to the tropical islands outside north-eastern South America.
Trinidad and Tobago are interesting birding locations not only for their many endemics, but also for the high amount of species migrating here in spring and autumn. The book contains all species found on and around the islands, a total of 470 species, thoroughly displayed on 115 color schemes, all shown on the right page. The short but accurate texts are located on the opposite left side.
Distribution maps are missing but the text shows instead where and when the species can be found on the islands. The selection of birds is from the book Birds of Northern South America by the same author, but about 500 images are new or updated from the original from 2006 due to changed taxonomy.
