Naturbokhandeln is a bookstore owned by the Ornithological Institute, Birdlife Sweden. Our mission is to generate money to the institute’s many projects in the area of bird protection and conservation. We also serve to provide our members the best products for a greater experience in nature. We know that an extensive bird-protection programme gives advantages for other groups of organisms than birds alone – that’s why we hold our range of products as wide as possible for all people interested in the diverse nature around us.
Our main focus since 33 years on the island of Öland, Sweden - is literature and optics.

Please observe! Our store in Ottenby on the southern tip of Öland offers a different range of products than our main store. For a maximal variety of optics, books and field equipment we recommend visiting Stenåsa on the east side of the island.
